The number of people in Great Britain employed on zero-hours contracts has risen by almost 20% over a year.
According to the latest data published on Wednesday 02 September 2015 by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), during the period from April – June 2015, 744,000, or 2.4% of the work force, were working on zero-hours contracts, which guarantee neither the number of hours worked nor the salary.
