Up until now British PM David Cameron has favored a total opt-out from European work directives. Recent press reports however indicate that he is willing to water this position down to only opting-out from the working time directive as a way of assuaging the unions and the left, as well as a means of safeguarding an ‘In’ vote in the upcoming EU referendum.
