One-in-five young people will start an apprenticeship within the next 10 years says the government. The purpose of this bill is to present learning as an option as legitimate as college or vocational schools. (Ref. 080609)
On July 16, 2008, the government published its bill on learning, which aims at increasing the attractiveness of this system both for employers and for potential applicants. Here are the main measures:
- Guarantee a sufficient number of apprentices so that all young people with the required skills can get an apprenticeship by 2013.
