Facing the explosion in courts of cases concerning equal pay between men and women, the Equal Opportunities Commission - EOC, proposed a moratory on the complaints in order to relieve the courts and favour equality policies in companies. (Ref. 070825)

Complaints for wage discrimination are booming – According to the governmental agency Tribunals Service, complaints for wage discrimination increased by 155% in 2005-2006, reaching the number of 44.013.
