"Let your employees surf on Facebook or MySpace during their breaks”, is asking the trade union confederation TUC. Whereas 50% of employers prevent their staff from using social networking websites for security reasons and because they are less productive, the TUC proposes to set up conduct guidelines instead, an opinion shared by employers organisations. “Social networking”, that is to say the creation of virtual networks on the internet is very popular in great Britain. Last July, over 7 million British people visited Facebook, one of the social networking websites, whereas MySpace and Bebo recorded 10 million users a month.
