Great Britain: workers did not feature in a Brexit oriented queen’s speech

With the UK reeling from terrorist attacks, the Grenfell tower fire disaster, and the Conservatives recent election failure the traditional Queen’s speech, which sets out the new government’s legislative program, made no mention of the grand promises that had been made to workers during the election campaign and much to the trade unions’ anger, focused instead on Brexit. Businesses on the other hand are quite satisfied with this status quo.
