International: the ILO is guiding the legislator through the elaboration of standards on private employment agencies

The International Confederation of Private Employment Agencies (CIETT) congratulated itself on the ILO's publication of a guide on the regulation and the control of private employment agencies, the elaboration of which it had actively take part in. This guide comprises guidelines for the national legislator so that he can introduce a regulation in accordance with the convention No. 181 passed in 1997 which governs these agencies. Among the messages the international organization seems to convey, it reminds that it is imperative to guarantee the rights at work for agency's workers, as well as the need to seek modes of cooperation between public employment services and private agencies. A role to play in the labour market. In its introduction, the ILO reveals that “there are few industries in the world which changed their image as deeply as private employment agencies did.” It added that these companies “posted 8 million euros throughout the world and increased the employability of job seekers by maintaining them on the labour market, or even through trainings.” Putting this role forward in the labour market’s way of functioning, the guide advocates :
