Since the first agreement back in 2006 (c.f. article No. 220), its renewal in 2010 (c.f. article No. 100406) and now this 2017 renewal the PSA Group agreement has undergone some notable changes. This latest version centers on PSA Group’s willingness to ‘co-construct the future of the Group with the representatives of employees everywhere in the world’. This co-construction is ‘based on a dialogue conducted at all levels: at the Group level and at the level of each country and each work site.’
On the occasion of the agreement’s signature in Geneva at the ILO offices, in the presence Deborah Greenfield, ILO Deputy Director General, PSA Group CEO Carlos Tavares summarized the agreement’s underlying philosophy thus “the more we share strengths, weaknesses, and challenges with employees, the more we enable each one to contribute to solutions and the more likely it is that we obtain creative solutions and improve the company’s performance.” IndustriAll global Union secretary general Valter Sanches, welcomed the exemplary nature of the social dialogue at PSA.
