Italy : Confindustria and the unions of the province of Florence have signed a protocol agreement on health and safety in the workplace

An agreement which “is an indicator of more mature industrial relations and represents good practice for all social and institutional partners”, stated the unions on its signature June 12 in Florence between Cofindustria and the CGIL, CISL and UIL unions after a year’s negotiation. This agreement is part of the pact for development concluded in 2005 by Cofindustria and the unions for reinforcing the joint provincial body on safety (composed of three members of Cofindustria and three members of the unions) “in a spirit of genuine parity and with a firm intention to cooperate”, underscored Mauro Fuso, provincial secretary of the CGIL.
