On March 27, the Council of Ministers approved the guidelines of the decree-law which amends decree-law No. 81/2008 – the Testo Unico on health and safety on the workplace (see our dispatch No. 080334) – adopted by the previous government. The Berlusconi government announced this reform from the very beginning (see our dispatch No. 080517) and assured that the ‘guidelines’ of the new text are “rigorously in line” with its mandate, aimed at promoting more transparent standards to make it easier to apply them.
