Drawn up in collaboration with a pool of virologists and experts, and with the support of the Emilia Romagna region, the ‘Back on Track’ project unveiled by Ferrari seeks to provide a safe working environment for staff when sites open their doors once again. The project constitutes a veritable prevention and monitoring policy, with workers able to undergo blood tests to see if they have contracted Covid-19, a special application set up to provide support and monitoring, as well as medical and psychological assistance provided for workers hit by the virus. The project has been hailed by the FIM-Cisl and UILM trade unions.
The ‘Back on Track’ project, unveiled just before Easter, consists of several phases. When the sites in Maranello and Modena are able to get up and running once again (the date on which non-essential business can recommence has not been set by the Italian government), Ferrari will go beyond applying the protocol penned by social partners on 14 March (see article n°11720), which sets guidelines for workplace health and safety in industry during the coronavirus outbreak.
