On June 12, TASI management and Altec, along with the national coordination of the Unitary Trade Union Representation bodies (RSUs) Fim-Cisl, Fiom-CGIL, Uilm-Uil, and the national and local secretaries from Rome, L’Aquila, Turin, and Milan, signed an agreement renewing the company collective agreement, which expired at the end of December 2009.  since Thales joined the JV, which in 2007 included Finmeccanica, in 2007, the Italian company, which employs nearly 2,200 people, is currently restructuring its activity in its four sites (after that in Florence closed in late 2011) in Turin, Milan (Gorgonzola), Rome and L’Aquila – where the site was rebuilt after the 2009 earthquake – where production will be centered.  Negotiations for this restructuring, which was the subject of a union agreement on January 19, “took a lot of time” said Carlo Anelli, who signed the agreement as Fim national coordinator for Finmeccanica.  All the trade unions are satisfied with the new collective agreement, signed for 2012-2014, which was sent to the workers for approval.  Here are the key elements.
