Italy: UniCredit signs unitary agreement with unions on its restructuring program 2010-2013

After six days of non-stop bargaining, UniCredit’s union delegations – Fabi, Fiba-Cisl, Fisac-CGIL, Silcea, Sinfub, UGL Crédito, Uilca-Uil – signed, on Monday, October 18th, at dawn, a unitary agreement with the management on the general restructuring program 2010-2013, presented by the group on August 4th.  This agreement is part of the project entitled “One for Clients” (One4C) to consolidate UniCredit on the Italian market, by bringing the bank closer to its clients, via a simpler societal structure and lower costs.  It was also the start of a decisive week for the group, with Italian banks merging into Bancca Unica, signed on October 19th and which will be in force on November 1st, and the appointment, on Thursday or Friday, of two new CEOs.
