Mexico : an agreement for sending skilled workers to Spain

The agreement, which came into force on June 12, was signed in the presence of the Prime Minister, José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, and of the Mexican President, Felipe Calderon, on a visit to Spain. The program is intended to combat clandestine immigration and the traffic of human beings by organizing workforce selection in the country of origin. Both governments emphasized it is a mechanism of legal immigration guaranteeing workers’ rights and applying to all sectors of the economy.
