Party members, civil servants and University professors are required to download the app and use it every day. The “Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era” app, or as the foreign press has nick-named it the ‘little red app’ uses a points and incentives system that encourages users to log in at breakfast, lunch and before bedtime.
