Norway: salary adjustments at Posten Norge AS amidst worries regarding liberalisation of postal sector

The general negotiations which took place at Posten Norge AS in spring allocated 3 million Norwegian krone (335,015 euros) to local negotiations. The discussions have now been completed, the adjustments have been decided and the result is a satisfactory one for Gerd Øiahals, chief negotiatior at Postkom (the Norwegian trade union for post and telecommunications). The next months, however, promise to be hectic since the government has just presented its plan for the liberalisation of the postal sector, against the wishes of the union.

Comprehensive salary negotiations.
