In Portugal the right for workers to disconnect will not be officially regulated. The Parliamentary Working Group on reforming the Labor Code has rejected several legislative proposals for framing the technological link between workers and companies. Although the draft firmly established the principle of rest for workers despite the use of digital tools, damaging effects from certain exceptions included in the text were deemed to be a threat to the respect for workers’ right to rest.
