Adjustment. The new code is going to determine courts’ role within the framework of the new labor code (see our dispatch No. 090227). It introduces the notion of emergency for illegal dismissals or special categories of workers – union leaders and pregnant or breastfeeding women. A simple form will force the judge to take the case. The code also sets the maximum number of witnesses that can testify to three and modernizes the procedure, allowing videoconferences. The text is mostly aimed at making the procedure faster, giving priority to dismissals in court.
