The news. As Slovakia’s social partners failed to reach an agreement during tripartite negotiations, Labour Minister Erik Tomas has decided to increase the minimum wage by 6% from 1 January 2027. The gross monthly minimum wage will rise from €915 to €972. For employees working a standard 40-hour week, the minimum hourly wage will increase to €5.60. Bonuses for night and weekend work, which are indexed to the minimum wage, will also be increased.
