Slovenia : Prime Minister Janša meets with trade unions

The meeting held on 22 November was initiated by trade unions, who say social dialogue has been lacking recently. PM Janša emphasized the importance of the reforms and continued negotiations on the Employment Relationship Act and social agreement. An agreement was reached, which notably provides for a "social summit" once a year. (Ref.061193)

During the November 22 meeting, it was agreed that a second round of talks will be held on the Employment Relationship Act and that any remaining open issues will be readdressed in a joint meeting together with employers’ representatives.
