On 30 October, Fetico, CCOO, UGT et Fasga unions signed a second equality plan for Carrefour Spain’s hypermarket/supermarket outlets that includes 120 new measures and implements positive discrimination action so as to achieve effective gender equal opportunities at work.
The five-year agreement (2018-2023) will impact almost 40,000 staff (39,469) employed across Carrefour Spain’s 2014 hypermarkets as well as a further 7,920 employees at the Champion Group’s 186 supermarkets and proximity convenience outlets (Carrefour market, Carrefour Express, Carrefour City, Carrefour (mini-hypermarket), and Supeco.
