Celestino Corbacho, Minister of Labor, presented, on January 15, to the Parliamentary Committee, the guidelines of his plan to revive employment. The approach is comprehensive since it plans actions to improve employment services, vocational training, to revise laws on collective redundancies or even corporate social responsibility. The plan will
pursue the following objectives:
- Develop and strengthen social dialogue,
as a major tool to solve problems on the labor market and regarding the social
protection system. Social dialogue is seen as an integral part of the Spanish
welfare state. - Develop local consultation to tighten
cooperation between the central State and regions, competent in terms of
employment. With the creation of a general council for the national employment system
to encourage and coordinate active
