Recourse to the labour inspectorate. Mr Caldera announced that between 2008 and 2010, 10,000 firms will be visited by the labour inspectorate to monitor effective application of the law. 50% of these visits will be programmed and 50% at the request of worker representatives seeking arbitration. The inspectors will be assigned to scrutiny of firms with over 50 employees with special attention to companies with over 250 employees.
