Mercedes Cabrera, Minister for Education, and Celestino Corbacho, Employment Minister, announced a reform of vocational training for early 2009. The country's bad results in this domain forced the government to make the training branch - largely snubbed by young Spanish people - more attractive and to improve lifelong training. (Ref. 080862)
Catch up in terms of vocational training, intermediate level. The changes jointly prepared by the Ministries of Labor and Education are aimed at attracting 200.000 new students to intermediate level vocational training in the next three years, that is a 10% increase.
