The parties said that the agreement signed on April 8, 2013 between Sveriges Byggindustrier, the Swedish Construction Federation, and Byggnads, the Swedish Building Workers’ Union was a “compromise.” As far as pay is concerned, the agreement follows the provisions of the manufacturing agreement, but there was a lot of tension when it came to the working environment and responsibility levels in case of subcontracting. Actually, the continuation of the agreement depends on the result of the working group set up for the subject. (Ref. 130271)
Pay agreement matching forecasts. As regards pay and as expected, the agreement follows the decisions made in the manufacturing agreement (see article No. 130248). Wages will increase by 6.99% (and not 6.8% as it is one month longer than the agreement in the industry) and the agreement was signed for 3 years, although Byggnads may terminate it every year.
The wage increase is divided as follows:
