Wage increase in line with the labor market.  the SEKO union is pleased with the negotiations’ outcome.  “It is the result of a compromise, but it is good we managed to amend working conditions some, even though the agreement will only last for one year” commented Po Fällman, SEKO safety representative.  Gunnar Järsjö, Almega bargaining representative, rejoiced that the agreement is in line with labor market requirements and excludes any risk of conflict.

On May 3, the Almega tjänsteförbunden employers’ organization and SEKO (the Swedish union for Service and Communication Employees), ST (State services), and Sveriges Ingenjörer (Swedish engineers) signed an agreement affecting train drivers, controllers and maintenance staff alike. It will run between April 1, 2012 and March 31, 2013, covering about 60 businesses and 17,000 employees. (Ref. 120322)
