The Swedish business leaders confederation Svenskt Näringsliv and the Swedish Federation of Salaried Employees in Industry and Services Privattjänstemannakartellen (PTK) have announced their willingness to come to agreement on certain subjects. Evidence of this is in the fresh drafting of two provisions about the non-compete clause (konkurrensklausul) and an invention assignment clause.
Much needed modernization. Both provisions were too old with the original draft of the non-compete clause dating back to 1969 and the invention assignment clause to 1994. They were essentially obsolete and the focus of many disputes and so in 2014 were declared set for redraft in the spring of 2015.
