The SEF electricians’ union and corresponding employers’ organization (EIO, the Swedish Electrical Contractors’ Association) have finally reached an agreement, thus avoiding a major strike planned for the beginning of April. This agreement maintains the ‘recovery deal’ (“inkasserinsgavtalet”) in spite of a conflicting decree issued in October 2012. (Ref. 130255)
The conflict initiated at the labor court. The recovery agreement (“inkasserinsgavtalet”) was signed by EIO (Elektriska Installatörsorganisation) and SEF (Svenska Elektrikerförbundet) in 1997. This agreement states that EIO affiliated companies have to pay SEF 0.5% of the wages paid to their employees in order to pay for the controls over the proper implementation of agreements on pay or working conditions.
