Sweden: tripartite discussion over improved use of immigrant workers skills

A fast-track (snabbspår) to suitable work. This is what the Swedish social partners are aiming for so that improved integration into the workplace can be achieved for immigrants looking to settle in Sweden. On the day after the bombings in France, Sweden was looking to improve integration well aware of the fact that in doing so several interest are being addressed: supplying manpower to the sectors experiencing labor shortages, benefiting from professional training and knowledge already acquired outside of Sweden, avoiding discriminatory behavior and feelings of social exclusion that may escalate into extremism.
