In response to an open letter published by the recruitment platform Liberty Hive, which in January launched a campaign calling for a law requiring salary transparency on the part of companies, the UK government said in recent weeks that it “continues to call on employers to provide salary information in all of their job adverts, and to stop asking about previous salary during recruitment”.
