United States: NLRB launches information campaign on employees’ rights at work

The information campaign is going to address rights regarding pay, working time, safety at work….  These rights, covered by the National Labor Relations Act, give employees the right to take part in “concerted activities.”  In short, two or more employees have a right to complain about their terms and conditions of employment.  One employee can act on his/her colleagues’ behalf, without retaliation from their employer.  The law clearly states that the management cannot threaten those it considers as agitators, cannot suspend them, let alone fire them.  The NLRB will impose the reinstatement of employees fired on those grounds.  It can also ask for the payment of unpaid wages.
