While London goes it alone on the customs exemption for small online parcels, the Retail Technology Show (whose Chairman is Matt Bradley) presented a study on April 7, 2026 carried out among 1,000 British consumers. This reveals that 54% of Britons want to see the end of “de minimis”, this customs exemption on parcels of less than 135 pounds (or €155), which favours marketplaces like Temu, Shein and also Amazon.
