The ESL supplier Hanshow is speeding up the marketing of its digital smart cart. Deployed in 10 Woolworths supermarkets in Australia, it will be tested at 2 French retailers in 2025.

In Australia, Hanshow deployed 500 Smart Cart devices in 10 Woolworths supermarkets (turnover for the fiscall year to June 2024: US$44.9 billion, up 5.6%, including 11.7% online) between August 2024 and the end of March 2025. With 50 smart carts per store, the solution is present in less than 1% of the Australian retailer, which runs 1,111 stores and Metro. When interviewed by mind Retail, Pierre Fosseux, VP France of Hanshow, confirmed that the POC will result in a full-scale rollout in 2026.
