Carrefour and Cooperative U officially announced on July 7 the launch of Concordis, a joint European purchasing alliance. Based in Brussels, the structure will begin operating for the 2026 trade negotiations for an initial period of six years, targeting 50 manufacturers of FMCGs. Both French retailers (2024 revenue of 87.27 billion euros for Carrefour, up 5.3%, and 26.91 billion euros for Cooperative U, up 4%) will thus consolidate purchasing volumes to strengthen competitiveness.
