Is the affiliate program reserved for your partner retailers?
No, some retailers are affiliated to promote their brand and offers but are not payment partners. The launch of new products – especially the card – and the related communication campaign should help us increase the number of app users and boost traffic. We’re already seeing this in Klarna’s more mature markets, which have a broader portfolio.

Users of Stocard, the German loyalty-card digitization app acquired by Klarna at the end of 2021, were migrated to the Klarna app before summer 2025. On app stores, many negative reviews criticised this forced migration.
Users have their habits and it may take them some time to adjust, but overall, we see the migration as positive. The loyalty-card digitization tool enables our partners to share offers with cardholders and supports our goal of providing shopping assistance to end users. It’s also financially beneficial, as it allows us to expand our media offering for retailers. The two apps coexisted for 18 months, then we completed the migration over the past 12 months, and the success rate of the operation has been excellent. It allowed us to grow the Klarna app’s user base.
