In China, Bluebell Group (US$2.5 billion turnover via 650 stores) is strengthening a presence in the “Duty Free” market by acquiring Star Brands Travel Retail. Finalised on 19th December 2022, the Hong Kong-based group is completing its offer on the duty-free market. Star Brands Travel Retail offers management and exploitation services to global brands, which are already selling in Hainan, or are eager to enter the travel retail market.
