On August 19, U.S. regulatory agency Federal Trade Commission (FTC) indicated that companies must now inform customers when using algorithms based on individual data to personalise prices. According to the enforcement policy draft, retailers must provide “clear and conspicuous” information on any personalised pricing, including the type of data used to generate the price offer. The deadline for submitting comments is set for September 18, 2026. Failing that, the agency “will deploy enforcement
