On July 7, 2025, H&M launched a trial in the United Kingdom of body cameras for sales staff, who have been facing an increase in shoplifting and assaults. Stores in Edinburgh, Wood Green and Beckton (London) are testing the device, which films in real time and provides evidence for law enforcement. With 228 stores and 6,188 employees, the country accounts for 7.35% of H&M’s total sales in 2024 (22.19 billion dollars, down 0.7% year-on-year).
