Ingka Centres, a subsidiary of Ingka Group (turnover of €37.4 billion as of 31 August 2021, up by 6% year-on-year) is investing €400 million to develop a first Indian shopping centre. The Group chose Gurugam (Gurgaon, 20 km south-west of New Delhi) for this 130,000 sq.m GLA mall. Construction is scheduled to start in early 2022 for an opening in 2023. This will create 2,500 jobs.

Under the “Livat” brand, also used in China, this mixed-use centre will include an Ikea departme
