The news. On 11 August, Australia’s Fair Work Commission published new minimum standards that must be guaranteed for platform delivery drivers from 17 August. Whether they use a bicycle or a motorised vehicle, workers must receive a minimum pay rate of 31.30 to 32 Australian dollars per hour (equivalent to 19.84 euros) for engaged time, which excludes break periods and waiting time for orders.
