The news. On 11 August, Australia’s Fair Work Commission published new minimum standards that must be guaranteed for platform delivery drivers from 17 August. Whether they use a bicycle or a motorised vehicle, workers must receive a minimum pay rate of 31.30 to 32 Australian dollars per hour (equivalent to 19.84 euros) for engaged time, which excludes break periods and waiting time for orders. Platforms are required to provide personal accident insurance to delivery drivers and cannot penalise
