The Council of Ministers approved two preliminary draft bills on worker participation in companies born from cross-border mergers. These two texts transpose into Belgian law European directive 2005/56 of October 26, 2005 on cross-border mergers and complete collective labor agreement No. 94. (Ref. 080780)
The two preliminary draft bills as well as collective labor agreement No. 94 (see our dispatch No. 080386) determine the rules for worker participation in companies born from a cross-border merger. Article 16 of the directive determines and ensures worker participation in companies born from mergers.
