On November 21, the UNI (services) and ITF (transport) international union federations brought a case to the German government alleging that company had committed a series of labor violations outside of Germany which breach the OECD Guidelines on Multinational Enterprises. The procedure could lead to mediation with the management or an investigation on the alleged charges. (Ref. 120687)

The case. The OCED’s guidelines on multinational enterprises are a code of conduct on corporate social responsibility. They are not legally binding for the undertakings but the signing countries are committed. The union complaint lodged yesterday concerns the situation of DP workers in several countries.
