After adoption by the European Parliament (see article. n° 06139) and the Council, the directive on the minimal health and safety regulations relating to the exposure of workers to the risks due to physical agents (optical radiations) is published in the Official Journal of the European Union. The directive (see our comment in the note below), adopted within the framework of directive 89/391/EEC, sets the minimal regulations as regards protection of workers against the risks for their health and their safety resulting or likely to result from an exposure to artificial optical radiations at work.
