The European Commission has published its annual call for proposals on “information, consultation and participation of representatives of undertakings,” which may then be exploited to partially finance joint initiatives (especially as regards training) within businesses that aim to improve social dialogue and employee involvement in EWCs and SEs, as well as strengthening transnational bargaining.
Budget line 04.03.01.06, has an allocated budget of €7,313,000 as published on the European Commission’s website, and these funds can be used to assist in the setting up of transnational employee representation bodies as well as financing action “aiming to familiarize the social partners and actors at company level with the content of EU law and transnational company agreements and to enable them to exercise their rights and their duties in this regard as well as promoting action aimed at familiarizing the actors represented at company level with transnational company agreements and at strengthening their cooperation within the European Union.”
