On 17 April, MEPs on the European Parliament’s Committee on Employment and Social Affairs adopted by a large majority the sixth revision of Directive 2004/37 on carcinogens, mutagens and reprotoxic substances. The negotiating mandate must now be approved in a plenary session to initiate trilogues with the Council of the EU, which adopted its position in December, under the aegis of the Commission.
