Holding the lack of administrative cooperation between national authorities responsible for the inefficiency of Directive 96/71 in terms of protection of posted workers, the European Commission presented, on April 3, a recommendation which invites Member States to cooperate to put in place an electronic information exchange system. the European Commission’s recommendation proposed solutions to the causes it
identifies as sole responsible for social dumping : the absence of administrative cooperation between Member States and of information
concerning the rules applicable.
