Ferrovial: international framework agreement signed with the Building and Wood Workers’ International (BWI)

This agreement contains the commitment to comply with union freedom and the right to collective bargaining, with a commitment beyond neutrality since it reads that the company will “adopt a positive behavior toward union activities and an open attitude towards unions’ organizing activities.”  It also refers to the ban on forced labor, discrimination based on ethnic origin, gender, religion, political opinion, nationality, “or any other individual or social condition or circumstance.”  It mentions the ban on child labor for children under the age of 15, decent pay, decent working hours, health and safety measures (individual protection equipment, or even encouraging subcontractors and suppliers to adopt advanced practices on the issue of health and safety at work), well-being at work and training.
