The news. Faced with the rapid increase in the number of sick leaves in France since 2019, Minister of Labour Jean-Pierre Farandou, Minister of Health Stéphanie Rist, and Minister of Public Accounts David Amiel jointly presented an action plan on 9 April to curb the drift in spending related to medical leave. This plan hinges on three pillars: improving prevention to avoid sick leave as much as possible, fostering a faster return to work, and tackling fraudulent sick leave.
