The government is planning to ease the law on protection against dismissals by increasing the duration of the probation period, in exchange for restrictions on the use of fixed-term contracts. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry disputes this project which it considers too rigid. The Minister for Labour announces that he will not go further in the easing of the legislation. (Réf. 06268)
The coalition in power has a project to make it possible for employers to conclude with new recruits a probation period which can go up to 24 months, instead of six months maximum in the current legislation.
