The debate on the legal minimum wage was reopened, Thursday February 23, by the Berliner Zeitung. According to the Berliner daily newspaper, the coalition government
of Angela Merkel is thinking of introducing a minimum wage set at six euros per hour. At the beginning of February, Franz Müntefering, German Minister for Work, had announced the creation of a minimum wage, but without giving concrete numbers.
